DRW DUO
Could you do a 5K in your sleep? Are you ready to bridge the gap between a 10K and a Half Marathon? We’re bringing back the DRW DUO to the Dow RunWalk lineup! Line up for the start of your 5K Run at 7:45AM. Run your best race; but pace yourself! After you cross the FINISH line; do what you need to do and then head back to Collins Street for the start of your 10K. The START for the 10K is officially at 8:30AM, but no worries…..we’ll keep the start line open for you until 8:45AM.

STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED
Those running with a  stroller we ask to start at the back so as to not impede other runners and walkers.

Animals, skateboards, roller skates/blades and bikes are NOT ALLOWED on the racecourse.

FACILITIES

Restrooms, locker rooms and showers are available at the Community Center. Restrooms are also available at the Curling Center. Port-a-Johns are located near the start line on Collins Street with an additional unit at the St. Andrews Water Station on the 10K course. Additional facilities can be found at Central Band Shell Park, Barstow Woods Shelter, Currie Park Restrooms and Grove Park. Please check the map and note the blue circles for restroom locations.

Kids Corner babysitting is available for race participant families from 7:15 am - 10:15 am. A $3 fee will be charged for the first child; $1 for each additional child. Children must be picked up by 11:00 am.

TIMING

PAD Start and Finish! The ChronoTrack Timing System and B-Tags will be used to process results for the 10K, 5K Run, 5K Walk & 1 Mile races. All participant bibs must be visible on the front of their shirt to be accurately timed. Please do not fold, crunch up or wrinkle bibs as it will affect the ability to be accurately timed.  Tags are on the back side of the bib and are to be picked up during Packet Pick Up hours.

PARKING

Due to construction in the main lot; parking will be in and around the neighborhood. There are many extra parking lots scattered throughout the Community Center’s neighborhood. Please click on the map below to determine the best place for parking on race day. Remember, there is also on-street parking available OUTSIDE of the race course. Streets will close at 7:35 am sharp for the 7:45 am race start. Please have your parking plan in place prior to arriving on race day. No parking spot is too far away…you can count it as your warm-up!

**Please note that there are parking lots around the Community Center area including: the lots bordering Collins, Central Park School front lot and Reardon lot (plus, on street parking on Reardon), Miracle Field Lot and lots by the Blue Water Tower, Saint John’s Lutheran Church, MPS Admin parking lots, Memorial Presbyterian and the Curling Center. We encourage you to use these lots even though they are within the course. If you are parking in a lot that is within the course; you will be allowed to exit when it is safe to do so. Please make sure that you drive away from the course versus driving into the race course.

ON STREET parking along Eastlawn, Nelson, Jefferson, Haley and many side streets is an option as well as long as you are on street parking outside the course. There are also lots at the little league field off Eastlawn and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

*Parking alternative for Girls on the Run, 1 MILE RUN and TOT TROT PARTICIPANTS

Due to parking limitations with our new Community Center construction project, we have been able to secure busing with Midland Public Schools for all GOTR participants, buddies and spectators on Dow RunWalk Race Morning.

Busing to and from Midland High School (1301 Eastlawn Drive) will be available from 7:00AM until 10:25AM* on Saturday morning.  *LAST BUS DEPARTING FROM THE COMMUNITY CENTER HEADED TOWARD MIDLAND HIGH SCHOOL

MHS Parking lots will be open and the buses will pick up and drop off GOTR participants, spectators and buddies from the turnaround drive directly in front of the school. The Bus will drop off on the Jefferson side of the Community Center and the door will be open to walk through the building to head toward the Girls on the Run Meeting area near Central Park Elementary School. The bus will then pick up in the same area starting roughly at 9:30AM and will make runs until the last run at 10:25AM.
